A call from your boss telling you to wire a payment today can now be a perfect AI voice clone. Voice-clone fraud is projected to cost 40 billion dollars a year by 2027 (Deloitte), and the FBI is warning every company.
A stranger can clone a voice from a few seconds of public audio, the tone and the rhythm, all of it. Hearing the real voice is no longer proof of who is calling. The same cloned voice can be a vendor, a client, or a panicked family member, always urgent, always right now.
